In October of 2007, three photographers, with no previous connection to each other, came together for a three-day weekend retreat, with teacher Douglas Beasley and one common goal: To give oneself permission to be an artist and to learn to trust oneself and one's intuition.

It was a transformative experience for all three as they spent the weekend nurturing their souls through photography, food, discussion and friendship, and were taught new ways to see light.

The retreat was a lightning rod of artistic freedom that allowed each woman's creativity to spill out like the contents from a cracked egg. Since then, this group of strangers has developed into a small but meaningful circle of support, encouraging the creative growth and development of one another.

This show will be a photographic representation of that journey.

Three Days of Light opens on March 7, 2009 and runs through May 2, 2009.
