A Minnesotan at heart, I love water and the rich blue of cyanotype. Many of my cyanotypes are made in or near the Mississippi River. Sometimes they are contact prints of plants I’ve found in the Mississippi Watershed and other times they’re a record of river water washing onto the surface of the paper.

This series of cyanotypes was created for an exhibition in conjunction with a cyanotype workshop I developed for the Chatfield Center for the Arts.
