Liberty, or freedom, is one of the founding and ongoing beliefs in the United States: it's in the Pledge of Allegiance and Roosevelt famously spoke of four universal freedoms. Whose freedom are we talking about? Capitalist freedom? Anarchist freedom? Marxist freedom? Abolitionist freedom? Libertarian freedom? White settler freedom? Decolonizing freedom? Zapatista freedom? Spiritual freedom?
